History
The Youth Representative position is in its eleventh year and is an initiative of the United Nations Youth Association of Australia (UNYA) and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade .
It involves me being a fully accredited member of the Australian Delegation to the United Nations General Assembly . During this time, the Australian Youth Rep will represent Australian youth and provide them with a voice in presentations to UN General Assembly.
The Australian Youth Representative will hold consultations with young people in every state and territory in the lead up to the UNGA.
The United Nations Youth Association has supported the Australian Youth Representative role since its inception.
UNYA is an influential network of young people strengthening the global awareness of Australian youth and their voice and participation in community (www.unya.org.au).
