The Youth Representative positions attract a lot of media coverage. The 2007 Youth Representative Ben Groom appeared on Video Hits and Sunrise, as well as receiving coverage in dozens of local newspapers, The Australian and the Sydney Morning Herald.
The 2008 Youth Representatives were announced on Video Hits on Saturday 5 April 2008.
